These terms govern your use of Do I know someone (“the app”). By creating an account, you agree to them.

What the app is
Do I know someone helps you find people to trust — for a service, skill, or introduction — among people you already know and people they know. It is not a general-purpose social network, and it's not a background-check or verification service: we don't vet the people listed on it.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information on your profile and not impersonate anyone else.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another user
- Create a fake profile or impersonate someone
- Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Scrape, copy, or resell data from the app
- Attempt to break or bypass the app's security
The Feed lets you post what you are looking for. A post is shown to your friends and, unless you choose “Only my friends”, to their friends, who see it without your name or photo until they take part. Anyone who can see a post can comment on it; a comment is public to everyone who can see that post and shows the commenter's name, photo and job. Don't post links, spam, offers of paid work, or anything unlawful or abusive. You can close or solve a post at any time, posts expire after 30 days, and you can report a post or a comment you see. If you share one of your asks outside the site, anyone with its link can read it and send you a recommendation, and only you see what they send; you can stop sharing at any time. Don't put anyone's contact details in an ask.
You can report or block another user directly from their profile or a conversation. Accounts that violate these terms may be suspended or removed.
Credits and the monthly plan
Some features are paid. Payments are made on the page of our payment provider, Barion, so we never see or store your card details.
For now, seeing and writing to friends of friends is free for everyone, and credits are kept for later. If that changes, we will tell you first.
A credit costs 400 Ft and permanently unlocks one person in your 2nd-degree circle. Credits don't expire. A credit that has already been used to unlock a profile can't be refunded.
Members who finish their profile before 1 January 2027 get 5 credits for free. Like credits earned by inviting friends, they have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money or passed on to someone else.
You can also earn credits for free: when someone you invited joins through your link and finishes their profile, you get one credit. Credits earned this way have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money or passed on to someone else, and we may limit how many can be earned. If accounts are made only to collect credits, we can remove those credits.
The monthly plan costs 4 000 Ft for 30 days and unlocks everyone in your 2nd-degree circle for as long as it runs.
The monthly plan renews automatically every 30 days for 4 000 Ft until you cancel it. By paying, you agree that we charge the card you paid with. We charge it about one day before the paid period ends, and email you a reminder a few days earlier. If a payment fails, we try again twice over the following days; if it still fails, renewal stops and the plan simply ends when the period you paid for does.
You can cancel automatic renewal at any time on the plan page. The plan then keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. When you buy the monthly plan you ask for it to start straight away; if you withdraw within 14 days, you pay for the days you have already used and the rest is refunded.
If we change the price, you'll be asked to agree to the new price before it applies to you. Until then, your plan renews at the price you agreed to.
Paying with Barion
Credits and the monthly plan are paid through Barion (Barion Payment Zrt., supervised by the Central Bank of Hungary, licence H-EN-I-1064/2013). You enter your card details on Barion's page. We never see or store them. Credits and plans are digital: you can use them as soon as the payment is confirmed, and nothing is delivered.
Content you share
You keep ownership of the profile information and messages you post. By posting them, you give us permission to store and display them within the app as needed to provide the service — for example, showing your profile to your connections, or delivering your messages to the person you sent them to.

The app is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee that any person you find or connect with through the app is trustworthy, qualified, or available — you're responsible for using your own judgment before hiring, working with, or meeting anyone you find here.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
